Brief Bio:
Dr. Xiaoyuan Zhang (he/him/his) joined the MPE galaxy cluster group in September 2022. He obtained his PhD degree in Leiden University and the Netherlands Institute for Space Research in June 2022 in a topic of connecting radio phenomena in galaxy clusters with ICM gas motions. He has research interests in multiple aspects of galaxy clusters and ICM astrophysics, including thermodynamic properties and mass accretion in cluster outskirts, particle acceleration in the ICM, and properties of the gas in large scale structures.
